Adam Shapiro

Deep within the recesses of Highland Park, New Jersey, there is a magical room. Simple in appearance, the cozy basement studio is anything but average. It is here that the magician stuns the ears, here the wizard brews his musical potions, here the sorcerer transforms concept into masterpiece. It is in this very room that the wildly talented Adam Shapiro makes magical music happen.One of our more recent members, Adam was discovered at the shabbos table of our very own Yonah Laster. Sharing a passion for music, singing and spirituality, they instantly bonded, and a powerful friendship ensued. Adam was later introduced to the group, and his talents were put to the test. He passed with flying colors, blowing us away with his production of our hit Chanukah single, “The Jew Who Can't be Moved.” In time, Adam would come to contribute his formidable musical production and mixing skills, as well as his sweet and powerful vocals, to far more songs than anyone could expect of a new group member. Featured on our first ever musical album, Adam's vocal, musical, recording, mixing and production skills are clearly showcased in the hit song "Better Day," which has maintained a position– usually first or second place– on Yossi Zweig's "Top 9@9" radio program every week for months since its release! His unparalleled talent, kindness, spirituality, willingness to help– even at personal loss– and positive attitude have contributed an irreplaceable element to A.K.A. Pella. And when he finally breaks out as a world-renowned producer/singer, just remember: you heard him here first!
